The full description
Balancing Essence is the step between cleansing and concentrate. 3% gluconolactone — a polyhydroxy acid, the largest and mildest of the acid molecules — works at the surface for the look of texture without the sting of a glycolic. Panthenol and beta-glucan keep skin damp so the concentrate that follows spreads further and absorbs faster.
Applying a concentrate to damp skin is the single cheapest upgrade to a routine, and this is the product that makes the skin damp. Net contents 150 ml (5.1 fl oz).
Suited for
Most skin types, including sensitive. The gateway acid.
Not for
Layering on the same evening as 5010. Alternate them.
How to use it
- 01After cleansing, morning and evening.
- 02Press three or four pumps into the face with your palms. Do not wipe with a cotton pad — you will lose half of it.
- 03Move to your concentrate while skin is still visibly damp.
- 04Sensitive skin: start once daily.
